International Scientific Conference 2016

THE PRIORITY DIRECTIONS OF NATIONAL ECONOMY DEVELOPMENT

Dear colleagues and friends,

We are pleased to announce that an international conference which is traditionally organized at the Faculty of Economics, University of Niš, will be held on 13 October, 2016. The aim of the Conference is to create a stimulating environment that allows fruitful debates on various aspects of the relationship between financial and real economy, through enabling open discussion.

Both review and research papers are eligible. The papers should relate to areas, which include, but are not limited to: National competitiveness, Demographic changes and social implications, Legal state efficiency, Sustainable economic development, Improving the quality, equity and efficiency of education, Digital technology and social change, Political institutions and public policy, International economic relations, Business statistics, Cost and performance management, Human resource management, Marketing, Operations & supply chain management, Strategic management, Business process management, Total quality management, Tourism and Hospitality, Application of decision making methods etc.

Publishing opportunities:

  • Conference Proceedings. Manuscripts for the Proceedings should have a minimum of 6 pages and should not exceed 10 pages. A maximum of three authors per paper is also required.
  • The academic journal Economic Themes. Six to ten best papers will be selected for publishing in the journal Economic Themes. The papers have to be eligible in terms of overall quality, content and length and have between eight and ten thousand words with no more than three authors per paper. The papers submitted for the journal will undergo the regular review process. (http://www.degruyter.com/view/j/ethemes),
  • The International thematic collection of papers. The collection of certain papers will be edited by the Inernational Editorial Board and will carry the title “Handbook of Research on National Priorities Justification”. It will gather a selection of the best conference submissions, regarding the papers based on empirical research. The papers have to be eligible in terms of overall quality, content and length. Between eight and ten thousand words with no more than three authors per paper

The papers should be written in English. Abstracts and full papers should be sent by e-mail to: ns2016@eknfak.ni.ac.rs. The submisions will be reviewed by the Conference Scientific Commitee and the authors will be notified of the decision by 15 September 2016.
